About Camp

The Ed Hynes Hall of Fame Soccer Camps will consist of two five-day sessions that will focus on all aspects of “the beautiful game”.

We cater to beginner through experienced players.  Our staff is trained to handle the needs of both the new player and the player looking for the competitive edge needed for high school and travel play.

The weekly session will stress conditioning, team play and individual instruction.  Technical skills and tactical concepts are both emphasized using fun and innovative activities.

Ed Hynes is the former Head Coach of the Wagner College Soccer Team.  Hynes founded the Women’s team and coached it from 1993 to 1999.  In 1997, he guided the Seahawks to the only post-season appearance in the program’s history.  He was named the 1996 Northeast Conference Coach of the Year.

Hynes was a two-time Staten Island Advance All-Star and a Division 1 soccer player at Iona College in the early 1980’s.  He holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and a National Coaching Diploma from the NSCAA.  In addition to coaching at the collegiate level, Ed has coached high school and youth soccer for many years.

Our staff is comprised of some of the finest coaches and college players on Staten Island.  Our coaches are hand-picked to ensure that our staff is second to none.  Some former staff members include John Wolyniec (NY Red Bull / MLS), John McLean (Dundee United / Scottish Premier League), Pearse Donnely (Sligo Rovers / Irish Premier League), Nick Kvasic (New Dorp HS and Petrides HS coach).

Our 2019 camp will be held at Monsignor Farrell High School in the beautiful DiTommasso Stadium.
